2019 Retreat – Forster, NSW

Dates: Friday 20 – Tuesday 24 September 2019

Cost: $400 including accommodation and all meals

Day tripper: $270 includes access to the venue from 8:30am – 10pm on Saturday, Sunday and Monday and all meals except breakfast.

Theme: Fire and Ice

Linen: Provided by venue: One pillow and one blanket.  Linen hire includes: One pillowcase, two sheets, one blanket and two towels.


Accommodation will either be bunk rooms, units or cabins. Each unit or cabin has two or three bedrooms. We will only be utilising bottom beds and trundles for adults. There will 2-3 people per bedroom and 4-6 people per cabin. There is one bathroom per cabin/unit.

Bunk rooms: Each bunk room contains 5 bunk beds and a three-way bathroom. There are 3 bunk rooms located either side of the Surfside Hall connected by a generous verandah.

Units 7 to 10: internal bathroom/toilet facilities; cooking facilities including cook-top, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, frypan, electric kettle, crockery, cutlery, tv point, table/chairs, two seater sofa.

Cabins 11, 12, 14 and 15: internal bathroom/toilet facilities; cooking facilities including stove, microwave, refrigerator, toaster, frypan, electric kettle, crockery, cutlery, tv point.


All meals will be provided from dinner on Friday to breakfast on Tuesday, except for dinner on Sunday as we will be dining at a local venue. This includes a cooked breakfast, morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

Please note that this is a camp style venue. Meals will be basic but nutritious.

Food intolerances will be catered for where possible. Attendees with severe or extensive intolerances may need to self-cater. Please be sure to list any special dietary requirements on your registration form. We will consult the venue and get back to you.

Note: dinner at local venue on the Sunday is at your cost. If you choose not to dine out please bring provisions for your meal on that evening.

Snacks: Please bring any extra snacks you would like to have throughout the retreat.

Challenge: Just for fun, create a piece based on the theme! It can be anything you like, wearable or not. This is completely optional but highly encouraged 🙂

Transport: Transport to and from the venue is your responsibility but we will try to arrange car pooling from Sydney and Newcastle airports.

Wifi: No wifi available at this venue. Check with your service provider on 3G in the area for internet access.

Workshop bookings

All workshop fees are to be paid to the respective tutor in full within 30 days of booking and prior to 20 August 2019 to allow adequate time for purchase of materials and preparation of kits.

Workshop prices are dependent on the duration of the class PLUS kit costs (unless otherwise specified) .
